MENTORING PROGRAM CONCEPT

Changes in the structure of the traditional family unit and the community have diminished the ability for some young people to maintain durable, supportive relationships with adults.

The primary goal of mentoring is to match youth with a responsible, caring adult in their home community, to help them establish and maintain a nurturing relationship.

At Williamson Forward Progress Youth Service Foundation, we believe that effective communication and positive reinforcement through mentoring can provide youths with the support to sustain their new skills and perspectives. Youths may have difficulty in maintaining an appropriate lifestyle without the proper support system, therefore; your mentoring efforts are critical to the long-term success of the youth.
